Perfect Purity, a leading company in the United Arab Emirates specializing in personal care products, is currently looking to hire an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As an AR Accountant at Perfect Purity, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all accounts receivable activities to ensure timely collections and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and recording collections from customers accurately, reconciling customer accounts, maintaining detailed records of collection activities and customer communications, investigating and resolving discrepancies between payments and invoices, reviewing customer accounts for overdue balances, and communicating with the sales team to resolve issues prior to shipment. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing monthly AR aging reports for management, monitoring the AR aging report for overdue payments, assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal regulations, analysing customer quotations for profitability before submission, collaborating with sales and procurement teams on cost verification, preparing VAT returns accurately within statutory deadlines, reconciling VAT-related accounts, conducting related party transaction reconciliations promptly, and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
Skills & Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance along with at least 2 years of proven experience as an AR Accountant/AP Accountant or similar role in a distribution or similar industry. You should have strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft D365 and MS Excel is required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical abilities, communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP systems like Microsoft D365 or similar is preferred. Knowledge of the distribution or retail industry along with related financial processes would be advantageous.
