About the job
Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger. Performs detailed financial analysis of the department’s chart of accounts and financial statements by identifying and analyzing unusual variances. Strong support to the controller and provide guidance and leads the team through the complexities of processes, technical accounting matters and extensive supports on all accounting, audits, tax, VAT and other compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the business decisions through financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
Works with the controller and internal controls manager to interpret and apply consistent accounting practices.
Ensures a strong control environment across the key business cycles.
Take complete responsibility and guide the team members for internal and external financial and process audits.
Understand the supply chain operations and provide support and guidance to the team on the complex areas and accounting.
Support controller on monthly closing and be able to meet all closing deadlines.
Manages the implementation of recommended changes to accounting practices.
Coaches and mentors direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
Requirements:
University or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification is preferred.
Must have a Big4 Audit Firm experience (at least 3 years) and strong similar industry/ or other industry experience of at least 5 years.
Team Management experience required.
Requires strong Technical Expertise and expert on IFRS to record transactions in compliance with requirements and company policies
