The Director of Finance is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger, budget and forecasts preparation, financial analysis, and risk management, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The main responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Payroll, Revenue Recognition/ Accounting, and other general ledger activities.
- Developing and maintaining month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Preparing and presenting timely monthly financial statements and management financial reports in accordance with local accounting rules and US not-for-profit rules.
- Preparing grant or other financial reporting as required by grant agreements.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Managing and complying with local government registration and reporting requirements and tax filings for the organization's legal entities and any retirement plans.
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining internal controls for business processes to ensure the integrity of financial and accounting information, promote accountability, safeguarding of organizational assets, and prevent fraud.
- Coordinating preparation and execution of annual independent audit; ensuring any findings are addressed adequately.
- Overseeing the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll in coordination with Human Resources for employee-related elections.
